Our Process
- Wash: Using an extra strong stripping soap, the vehicle is hand washed. This is the first part of the ceramic coating process and is something that takes lots of care and time, cutting any corners during these steps would risk having sub-par results.
- Chemically Decontaminate: An iron removing chemical is used to neutralize compounds containing iron, like brake dust, that has been embedded in the paint.
- Clay Bar Treatment: A bar of clay is massaged across the paint using a slippery solution to not scratch the surface. The clay will pick up any physical contaminants left on the paint.
- IPA Wipe down: A solution containing nearly pure alcohol is used to break down any remaining waxes or oils left from a previous wash.
- Paint Correction & Enhancement: This optional step serves multiple purposes. Your vehicle’s paint will look glossier after a paint correction and will help increase the coatings duration.
- Protect: Once your vehicle’s paint is as clean and pure as it can be we apply a layer of protection. The cleaner and more pure the surface, the better the ceramic coating will perform.

Why is it so expensive?
The coating itself is a very costly product. These specific coatings can ONLY be applied by certified installers, such as ourselves. The reason System X Max is more expensive is becuase it is alot more durable and we perform a paint correction service. System X Crystal does not receive the paint correction service.
What is a Paint Correction?
Not everyone knows what paint correction is. That’s because paint correction is a term used by detailers to describe the process of fixing swirls, scuffs, and scratches. You most likely know this as buffing or polishing.
EVERYONE NEEDS A PAINT CORRECTION
Look closely at your car under the sun or under a streetlamp. Do you see scratches and swirls? Do they make your car look dull, old, and unprofessional? 99% of the cars on the road suffer from swirls. Out of that 99%, many will eventually get to the point of no return and no longer be able to be repaired.

Common Myths About Ceramic Coatings
Yes, coatings are long-lasting, durable, and create a crazy gloss on your finish, but that does not mean you can do whatever you want with your vehicle and think the coating will protect it. It has its limitations and it’s important to understand what you get and what you don’t get from a coating. Too many times we hear customers overshoot the protection aspect of the coating and are then disappointed when something happens to the finish.
The coating will not make your paint scratch-proof. When we say the coating will resist light swirls and scratches, we genuinely mean light swirls and scratches that might be induced when properly washing and drying the vehicle. If you drag a dry and dirty wash mitt across the paint, you will scratch the paint. If you drag your hand or leg across the paint, you will scratch it.
The coating will not protect your paint from rock chips. The only real option that can actually protect your paint from rock chips will be paint protection film (PPF). No matter how many layers you apply of any protection, whether it’s wax or ceramic coating, it cannot stop the impact of a rock hitting your vehicle.
The coating still requires maintenance to keep it strong. Just like many other things of value, if you don’t care for the coating, it will degrade overtime and not last it’s intended lifespan.
You have to properly wash, dry, and boost the coating for maximum durability. A coating that was meant to last for 6 years can start to break down at year 3 if not cared for properly.
